This place is amazing and John is a great guy! One day we were waiting on a friend to bring some things to our unit and when John noticed someone riding through the units (friend wasn't sure exactly which one was mine) he was quick to go question a guy he didn't know. I have no concerns of my belongings being unsafe. ... Read more

I rented a unit here for about a year about 2 years ago and had a great experience. The rates were a little higher than what I paid off of the beach but you're paying for the convenience of having your things nearer to you. The owners were very kind to me and when I had a situation arise that caused me to have a late payment they worked with me versus treating me like a number. It seems reviews are mixed so I'd advise at least checking them out before ruling them out. Cheers:) ... Read more

Rented from here several times and never any issues. Owners were always helpful. He actually lost money by being honest about furniture that I was going to store there for a long period but didn't because it could've mildewed. I can respect that. ... Read more

Just called this place to discuss available units for a local non-profit organization in Wilmington but the guy on the phone hung up on me. Then refused to answer the phone when I called back. Extremely unprofessional. Will not do business with this place for business or personal use. As a local to this area I am disappointed in how unprofessional this place is. Wish I could give a rating with ZERO stars. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Mini Storage - 202 South Dow Road include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate and Parking. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
