Very clean and well maintained. They keep it simple and we really appreciate that. Thanks for taking good care of our stuff! The facility felt secure and safe while our belongings were stored there. Well lit after dark as well. ... Read more

Pay for a unit to have 24/7 access as stated on their website. There has not been no 24 access for at least 6 months now. And if you call needing to get in sooner than when they open the gate they get mad.Someone hit the gate and I guess they can't get it fixed. I feel should not have to pay full price for unit whenever not getting full benefits as stated on your website. I mean I get stuff breaks but you could at least get here a little sooner than 8:30 to open the gate as I'm sure people work out of the storage unit. And honestly doesn't make my stuff feel very safe knowing the gate to the whole facility is open all day with no one there. I paid to have my stuff locked up. ... Read more

Lack of communication- I met with owner Suzie to inquire about a 10x30 storage unit last April and she told me none were available then. Her rates were reasonable so I aasked to be put on a waiting list. She promised to call me when one was available. I did find another stroage unit in Asheville but it was more expensive. After a month, my rate increased $55/mo bc of new ownership. I called Suzie monthly asking if another unit came available. I was told repeatredly no, but after several months passed, I started to doubt I was put on a waiting list. I know by now at least one unit would have been vacated. This is very poor communication. ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 100 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Pisgah View Storage - 1740 Smokey Park Hwy start from $85 and can go up to $155 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
