Just got my unit today. Josh is a lovely guy, very friendly and helpful. I appreciate that my storage unit seems to keep cool, even though it's outside. Because its door is made in such a way that it only locks with a very specific type of lock, I had to spend $17 on a lock that I won't be able to use in any other situation, which I didn't love, but it does seem safe at the very least. ... Della and Josh were great and a great help. SmartStop as a company, not so much. They will lure you in with decent pricing and then raise your rates soon after you get everything moved in so that they force you to pay the higher rates or you have to move everything out soon after you move in. In my experience, both my storage units went up 100-150 dollars shortly after move in. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at SmartStop Self Storage - 197 Deaverview Drive include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 60 to 450 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by SmartStop Self Storage - 197 Deaverview Drive start from $66 and can go up to $402 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
