My unit was cut into and all I got was an email. I don't always check my email but that day I did. It's not the first time my unit has been cut open. But I did receive a phone call the time before. That email was a week old before I saw it. It's just very frustrating that a once open and monitored place of business has closed doors to the public and is now not watched or looked after as well as it once was. It might be a cheaper place to put your stuff, but know it is broken into often. ... Read more

Our daughter and boyfriend’s storage unit at Westview was robbed recently. Management’s response was totally inadequate. They told them that several units had been broken into recently, but that is all they had to say. Westview could have at least notified other clients that there was a problem, but there was nothing from them. They took no steps to survey the units to see if padlocks were missing. They took no steps to install more security such as cameras. I would not recommend renting a storage unit at Westview! ... Read more

Rented a storage unit here and had all of my stuff stolen. Lock had been cut for weeks and management didn’t do a thing about it. We were told “that’s unfortunate, multiple break ins have happened over the past couple of months” Would not recommend storing anything here that you care about. ... Read more

Had most of our stuff stolen out of our unit. We let management know and they said there had been multiple break ins over the last few months. It would have been nice if they had sent out an email letting people know so we could’ve checked on our things earlier. The unit next to ours has the lock cut off and I’m sure their stuff has been stolen too and I’m sure they don’t know about it. I know there is a risk with storing belongings in a storage unit, but if management is aware this is happening, they should be doing something to prevent it or at least letting tenants know. They have cameras at the gate and that’s it. We have been there a few times where the gate is stuck open. Would definitely not recommend storing your things here. ... Read more

Review for the mobile home court operated by this company. They don't answer their phone or return calls and the office is not open. I have lived here for four years and they have lost my paperwork three times and have no record of me as the owner and send all correspondence to the previous owner. They threaten to tow your vehicles even if they are registered with the park. They have closed an exit so there is one way out, the speed bumps will disconnect a uhaul trailer. They finally have a plow but don't scrape it down to black top. The water pressure is so low that you can't run a sprinkler and wash dishes. That is when the well house doesn't freeze or have a broken pump. Without water for 8 days. Last contact with office staff, they said it wouldn't be six months before they got back to us (with a copy of the by-laws), this was six months ago. Had to involve their lawyer just to speak with someone. About to involve my lawyer. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Westview Mini Storage - 3500 Schramm Street include the following amenities: Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Westview Mini Storage - 3500 Schramm Street start from $45 and can go up to $180 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
