Read some helpful reviews of Terry-s Secure Storage at 3620 Cottonwood Drive, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I needed a storage unit quickly because of the situation that I was in. Had to move from lafayette to alexandria in two days. I quickly realized there was an abundance of storage facilities but a shortage of available units. Terry's had a unit that would suffice. I've been in three times since i've rented the unit two months ago and Ive seen several units where the bay door is raised. Nothing in the unit except a mattress with some sheets. Burger king cup with an ashtray next to it. Not sure if it was available for customers to use or rent, but people should really keep their valuables locked up. I could have easily stolen this mattress. While I was in my rental unit earlier, a wide-eyed, snaggle-toothed, black fella comes riding up to me on his BICYCLE. I had my headphones on, so he really surprised me. He needed my attention to ask me for a cigarette. "I don't smoke, man." I replied. He rode off. I saw him ride back outside the building, but before I left, he had made his way back inside. He appeared to have access. I thought, "Maybe he's the security guard since this is Terry's Secure Storage." Just to be safe, I'll have my Sig. Not a cigarette, my .45, even though I do actually smoke. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Terry-s Secure Storage - 3620 Cottonwood Drive include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera and Gate. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
