3.9/5 - 29 Reviews

Read some helpful reviews of 10 Federal Storage at 340 West 3rd Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Worst experience, you get the il illusion of a simple process of doing everything online. They send you a code for the gate and for your locker, but they're saying you a five digit code 4 digit padlock. You call and you get an AI voice. That sounds nice.If it doesn't get at you anywhere, they keep sending you that five digit code, and if you have people to help you unload and move all your stuff at a specific time. It's very frustrating that you can't even get onto the property. And if this happens once, how often will it happen when someone changes the code? And you need to get your stuff. And you can't get on-site again. Very frustrating. So tomorrow I'll call and hopefully I'll get to speak to a person and explain to them. A 5 digit code does not work on a 4 digit padlock, and I will cancel. I never used these company again. Update Just another AI reply two weeks after the fact. Yeah im gonna wait that long for a resolution. Good luck getting a person when you have people helping you unload or you need access to your belongings. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at 10 Federal Storage - 340 West 3rd Street include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
