Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 305 South Union Blvd, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Nice facility, but ridiculous price structure. I signed a contract with an introductory cost of $54. Then they raised it to $82.33 saying that it’s because the $54 was an introductory price for the first month. The following month they bill me $93 and continued billing me that way for the next two months as well. I called asking about this and they said it reflects the actual contract I signed. I just got my bill for next month and now it’s $127. If you choose to destroy your stuff here, be aware that they’re going to continue to raise the price every couple months and say that it’s because it’s in the contract you signed. I see no such thing in the contract I’ve signed. My contract clearly says $73 a month for the unit and $20 a month for insurance. This place tries to screw you over. ... Read more

Paula was very knowledgeable and was super transparent about how payments, price shifts, and the whole rental process went. She let us know how long the President's sale would last (until 3/8) and she advised us in how we could best use the money we have rather than over-paying, as we had originally thought we had to. I definitely recommend going to this location for their climate controlled, clean units. Definitely look for Paula if you stop by. She's such a fantastic human. ... Read more

I decided to store my trailer here starting in December. February someone broke into it by cutting the lock on the side door. However within my trailer there wasn't any thing inside worthy of stealing. From observation it looks like people are using pallets and other stuff to scale the perimeter fence in the gulch side. I've reported this issue to the onsite employees. Just a warning to anyone storing vehicles or trailers here . Price is fair, employees are friendly...but site security gets a zero ... Read more

Had to get some equipment kept in my bay, had a hard time figuring out where to go and wasn't able to get anything opened. Was ready to call it quits but some of the on-site staff, particularly Laura and Paula, were absolutely amazing in terms of helping me out with my annoying situation and clear up any issues for me. Saved me a bunch of time with their help, and would dread to imagine how things would have gone without them being there. Thank you Laura and Paula????, turned a frustrating issue into an easy fix, would be happy to have those two assist me again if I ever need to come by the storage once more and encounter any issues. ... The only reason I'm giving this place a relatively good review is because of Laura. I'm not a fan of Public Storage's business model and the way they deceptively jack up your prices over time rather than reward you for being a loyal customer. Instead, they've more than doubled my monthly rate since I joined a couple years ago. So that's why I'm leaving. But they did make one good decision in hiring Laura. She's very good at her job. She's knowledgeable, attentive, and personable. So this place has at least one good thing going for it. My rating would be 1 star if it weren't for her. ... Read more

Ask the district manger if you make him mad what he does. He will terminate your storage unit without warning and threaten to take possession of your unit if you don’t get it out in less than 48 hours. This isn’t the first time he has done this. We have another person we know that he did it to her too. She has the same email that we got. No explanation of the cause - It just stated-she had less than 48 hrs to vacate or her storage items will be their possession. Seems like a scam. Find a better storage company. Please ... Read more

Alex, was one of the most excellent customer service representatives that I have worked with not in just Public Storage, but in general. Every question I had he hadn’t answer to and was super nice and showed us the units. We wanted to know and gave us every bit of information that we asked so we can make the best choice. I met Julie today and she was also super super kind and helped us navigate our way exactly to where we needed to go for our storage unit. I would highly recommend using this location for storing anything. And check online for promotional deals. All in all six star experience. ... Read more

This was a weekly occurrence here at this location. Definitely would not recommend anyone to store their personal belongings or any valuables here for there Are no employees or managers hardly ever working on the property location. This place is a nightmare. I rented a unit on the third floor and visited the unit about 6 times total during the 4 months that I had it. Of the 6 times I visited to get items from my unit, the elevator was not working on 4 of those occasions. There is no stairwell to get in and out of the building, only the elevator that is ALWAYS BROKEN. After driving 40 miles one way to my unit with a U-Haul truck, I find once again that the elevator is broken. So I drive my U-Haul down to the office and the office is closed. I call and leave a message that I am here to move out today and have rented the truck and I can’t get into the building with unit. I decide to go grab some food and see if maybe someone is on a break and will be returning. After about 2 hours I go back to the facility, the elevator is broken, the office is closed, and no one is answering the phone. I call U-Haul corporate and the agent hangs up on me and never calls me back. I call U-Haul’s corporate number again, and another agent tells me she is sending a message to the property manager to call me immediately, as I’m here with a rented truck and ready to move out but can’t get into my unit that is paid to date. It has been 8 days and I still haven’t received any contact from the property manager, until today, when she sends me a bill for $500 to remove items I left behind in my unit. Yes I had to lose a few pieces of my furniture because I was denied access to my paid unit when I had the truck to do so. The facility Halas given me credits on my monthly bill before because the elevator didn’t work. Now I have paid for a useless $200 truck rental, lost over $1000 in furniture and have received a bill for $500 because I wasn’t able To come with a truck on a day the elevator was working. My advice to you is that they have scammed me out of money and my possessions and now want to charge me $500. What they need to do is fix their elevators and stop unlawfully holding their tenants stuff against their will and extorting them. I will never use public storage again and will be filing a complaint with a state agency regarding their predatory tactics and taking advantage of people and denying them access to their belongings on several occasions. Stay far away from public storage! Try extra storage or another storage company who won’t deny you access you stuff when you want or need it. ... Read more

She made the entire process seamless and stress-free, even offering helpful tips to maximize my space. It’s clear she genuinely cares about her customers and takes pride in her work. I recently downsized to a smaller storage unit. The manager, Shelly, worked with me being out of state to make the transition as smooth as possible. Very happy with this location. The on caveat to be aware of is due to the main Public Storage programming. You’re forced to take their insurance. Then redo your account declining the insurance (if you already have it) and hope the insurance charge is reversed. If you decline insurance up front, no one, including the employees, should have to do a 2nd form to decline it and reverse any charge. Highly recommend this location. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 305 South Union Blvd include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 9 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 305 South Union Blvd start from $22 and can go up to $298 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
