Read some helpful reviews of Grand Junction RV Storage at 2956 D 1/2 Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I hadn't battery stolen & my hatch door broken into & OLD THE WHITE MALE owner & WHITE MALE "manager" (who warned my mom ppl steal batteries in the past) SUDDENLY had a different story & made me feel like it was my fault & my faulty lock that I Frequently check. USED MY BRAIN DAMAGE & memory issues to say I just don't remember what battery I had....my trailer is new i know what batteries I HAD. I'm disgusted w/ their dismissal when I brought the issue to their attention. They didn't care & insist they've never had a problem EVER. Hell must've frozen over here. Currently looking for a new place. FIND OTHER STORAGE. ... Read more

We were told there was a cameras that recorded 24/7 and a security gate. Well our property was severely damaged by another lot renter. When brought to the management attention he claimed that we did the damages and the camera's were not recording that day our RV was damaged. He also told a 60 year old women to get the F off his property after we already taking the RV off the property. He continued calling the women a liar and yelling at her and using words that was not professional at all. I recommend others to find a different RV Storage. ... Read more

If you're considering parking your belongings here please reconsider. Just like you, I read the terrible reviews and thought, no way this guy could be this bad. I was sure surprised and so wrong. The shortish version of my story: I called the manager 3 times the month prior to moving my RV from Denver to west Colorado. After what I would describe as difficult and arduous conversations I secured my spot and informed him the date and time I would be arriving. The night before our determined drop off date I drove from Denver to grand junction after leaving work and camped until our 9 am appointment (they "open"at 8:30). Upon arriving the manager informed me that "he didn't know who I was or remember any conversation about a storage spot." He conveyed this information while wildly waving his hands around and using aggressive non-verbal gestures. So much so that my girlfriend (in vehicle) became scarred that he would get aggressive and retrieved her cell phone for a possible emergency call. After he calmed down, I explained our three previous phone conversations, after which he remembered who I was??? At this point I was told, "I'm not ready for you yet, come back after I've had my coffee." I explained that I was on a bit of a schedule and was also towing a trailer and leaving and returning later would be quite a hassle. Ok, he decides we can work it up now. So fast forward a few minutes of discussion and paperwork. He then asks me for my "paperwork," of course I have no idea what this is and try to explain that. He became aggrevated again and explained that he needs the Colorado registration and proof of insurance to let anyone rent here. At this point I was starting to get upset myself and explained 1) I don't have any registration paperwork as this has never been required at any previous storage facility, I could however provide proof of insurance with my name on it and provide an email or fax of the registration on Monday, and 2) if these were requirements of storage here, maybe he should mention this on the website or maybe on one of our three phone conversations considering my home is 4 hours away. Fast forward 20 minutes of discussion, where I explain that driving back to Denver wasn't possible for me because I was in route to telluride and in desperately needed to have this parked here for at least the weekend to sort out how I was going to solve this problem. He relents and agrees to let me stay until I can get the paperwork to him. We decided I would snail mail it because "email takes too long and isn't reliable." At this point I start filling out the paperwork and realize some fine print that states you can only access your belongings while he is on site and that is 8:30 to 5 pm every day except Wednesday. To which i asked if it was possible to gain access outside those times as living in Denver makes it very difficult to plan on arriving in such tight evening constraints and be stranded if we didn't make it. He angrily informed me that 5 pm was the cutoff and no access was allowed outside that time. At this point I couldn't take dealing with this angry and condescending person any longer and left. I spent all day calling around trying to secure other storage options. Finally I found a Storage option in silt (60 miles east)...and they were wonderful. But not before this jerk cost me too many hours of my life. Please.....do not support this person or this business. If you are not willing To listen to me, then listen to the other bad reviews and make the right call....unlike me. ### EDIT in response to the owners reply. We ABSOLUTELY did discuss an appointment to arrive and setup the storage process. We discussed it over several phone calls, as clearly stated above. I also did not show up outside business hours. I showed up at 9:15 am (You open at 8:30am). If you want to believe the lies your terrible manager/employee tried to sell you on, by all means go ahead. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Grand Junction RV Storage - 2956 D 1/2 Road include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
