Stayed for 2 weeks. Rooms are outdated, gross, run down, everyone smokes weed in the parking lot—to the point my room and car smelt like it. Made sure to be respectful of the rules the entire time—always picked up after my dogs, (unlike a lot of guests—dog poop piles all over) Called to have my deposit returned. Owner declined to return it—not because of damage or because the room was left a mess/disgusting (we cleaned it and wiped down everything—the bathroom, the toilet, counters, didn’t even leave the bedding in a heap or any garbage behind, swept—literally looked just like it did when we came minus the carpets needing to be vacuumed because we had dogs). Justified keeping it due to dog hair (not even major shedding dogs like a husky—literally short haired dogs)—not pet stains or pee or literally anything that would make sense withholding $100, literally because they had to spend a little extra time vacuuming their already dirty, disgusting 1980s carpets, in a literal pet friendly hotel, with their crappy $50 vaccum cleaner. ... Used to be a very quite and peaceful place now people have no respect and keep everyone up all night and apparently the maintenance person thinks he can box management don't care what happens as long as they collect money i would be better off parking on the side of road it would be more quiet than this place and not t almost seems as if I am only who picks up after my dog everyone else does not and nobody' in forces the law it is like they are all scared of certain people here but god forbid I say or do something wrong I will get evicted for it ... I thought it would be nice to park here but I was wrong. First of all you have to give them 30 day notice to receive your deposit down back . Didn't expect to move unexpected from party's and a neighbor little girl throwing rocks at campers & property but never get kicked out as of today live there. If the manager that owns the park what's he scared of ??? I would not recommend this place if it's your last choice. Rewrite the 30 day notice if a guest is reporting and incident and don't feel at ease, then move, it's fair to prorate there stay there. Sure there's eyes during the day but at night, things happen. I was told this park wasn't this way well,it is right now. ... Read more

Excellent Motel. My wife and I only know about the strip of 10 rooms total. Built in 1937. But don't let it's age sway you into not staying. All amenities are up to date and work ?? excellent! Owner keeps everything on point. ?? Clean, no bugs, BIG ??? bed, desk, bath tub and nice hot shower??, plenty of lamps, microwave, mini fridge, excellent housekeeping! Glenda at the front desk is a top notch caretaker of this entire place. Most caring and hospitable. Always willing to go out of her way to make things so very comfortable for the guests here??! It is by the airport so you will hear planes and I enjoyed sitting outside my door to watch really cool unforgettable air shows. That's about the only noise you will hear bc it is a very quiet and peaceful place. If you're looking for an obnoxious party with neighbors, you've co8me to the wrong place! Family oriented. Best price in town. Highly recommend!!!! ... Read more

The place is nice and quiet with the exception of a few planes and trucks. The staff are super friendly. The rooms are a little dated but the prices are good. The view of Pikes Peak is actually one of the best in the city. The overall atmosphere is pretty special. I feel like I'm here at the right time for the right reason. ... Read more

My wife and I (and our cat) stayed here while moving into our new apartment. We needed a place to stay for the week because it's hard to find a place that takes animals. We paid about $450 in total including a $100 deposit. We ended up leaving early because we couldn't stand the fact that there was only freezing cold water, no heat in the room (and It was snowy couple of days), about 6 times the electricity went out and we kept going to the front desk to fix it. We actually didn't have a problem with the room itself and the staff seemed nice enough, but there's an obvious lack of maintenance for such an old motel (the motel was built in 1937). This place has potential if they take better care of it. They told me that there was no refund for the days that we didn't stay. At the very least they could have apologized for the not so pleasant stay. On top of that we made sure to leave the room clean, that was the only reason why they are actually giving our deposit back. I wouldn't recommend the motel part of the stay but maybe if you have an RV it's a different story. ... Read more

This place is great if you're down on some luck and need a place to sleep and shower. We called this place home for 3 months and truly had no bad experience. Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Wrangler RV Ranch, Motel-Storage - 6225 East Platte Avenue include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Gate and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
