Read some helpful reviews of SecurCare Self Storage at 2005 King Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

NOT Secure! Our unit and the one next to us was broke into. Super easy for criminals to cut chainlink fence and cut the metal slides where locks are on doors. Locks don’t matter! The few cameras they have are damaged and don’t work. There is no extra security at this facility. No security drives thru after 6pm. Crooks have all night to steal your stuff. Your items are not safe here and we’ve been told break-ins are increasing. I only gave one star because the employee was nice and felt helpless. This is a corporate owned facility who obviously care only about $ and not keeping the place safe and secure. ... Read more

The manager Tiffany is super wonderful. She was sweet and respectful while explaining the units she has available and her office was super clean. I will happily rent here since the property is well kept and she is always ready to help. ... Read more

I rented from SecurCare years ago with much joy. They kept their rates the sane almost the entire year I rented from them. Now that NSA bought them out a few years ago, they are increasing their rent prices every three months. I was explicitly told by the person I contacted at 2005 King St that the prices do NOT increase in the first year of renting. I paid a moving company to move my 3-bedroom house from a storage business who had the same policy of rent increases every 3 months. Had I not been explicitly told by the representative at SecurCare that there would be no rate increases, I would have certainly chosen another business. How incredibly disappointing! The only reason I gave this review 5 stars because otherwise, I'm thinking 2 stars, is because of Alex, the overseeing floater employee of NSA in the Colorado Springs region. Since I have worked commercial, "big-business" establishments myself, I know how uncomfortable it is to have corporate breathing down your back about "the importance of reviews." I'm truly glad we are changing as a society to one of Love. Regardless of how I was lied to by either an ill-informed employee or one just trying to get a sale, Alex always had been welcoming on the phone and so caring, accommodating, and enjoyable to talk to in person. At least he gave me the truth. I would please like contact from corporate to discuss this matter and review the initial calls of the sale of the unit rental. ... Read more

We purchased a unit at an auction website, could not be more thankful for the management here. Tiffany was more than accommodating to us. Made everything manageable and incredibly easy. A clean and secure facility to say the least! Will watch for units at this facility and would recommend this secure care to anyone looking for a storage facility. Thanks Tiffany for everything!! ... Tiffany has been a huge support system during this crazy time in my life. By making this process easier on us from moving to a bigger unit, needing another unit close to that one for a short period if time, then also just making me feel safe that my belongings are going to be watched and if anything went wrong that she will contact me immediately! Super thankful for her and how she manages her property! ... Read more

Online reservation was easy. The property manager Tiffany was kind and helpful. My only complaint is that the entry keypad is too far behind the bollard and a pain in the a** to reach without unbuckling my seatbelt and leaning out the window. ... Read more

I'm a recent widow and so much going on, and my son was gracious enough to rent me a unit from Secure Care. I met with Tiffany, and it went seamlessly. She explained everything. It was a wonderful experience. I am very blessed. ... Read more

Tiffany at the Colorado Springs Store on king street is very helpful and kind. I have been a customer here since 2008, I have seen property managers come and go over the years and she has been the best thus far. If the review was based solely on her i would give a 5 although corporate has been slow on upgrading the camera system and we have been told this upgrade would happen years ago. Other than that I would recommend this facility. Like I said Tiffany is very helpful and kind to her customers. Once corporate follows through on the cameras I will surely upgrade me review to a 5. ... Read more

The assistant property manager Kyra was amazing! She was so kind and helpful, and I appreciated her showing us to our storage unit and around the property too! The only thing was that I didn’t see in the lease that we needed to buy a lock from them, and it was told to us when we already signed it and had bought our own. Maybe I just missed it but if not, it might be more straightforward to include that, as well as that our costs might go up after a few months which also was told to us after we signed the lease. Other than that, good experience so far! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at SecurCare Self Storage - 2005 King Street include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by SecurCare Self Storage - 2005 King Street start from $42 and can go up to $291 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
