Want to say how amazing this facility and the Gentleman that was managing it is!!! Walking in I was greeted with the best personality I think i could have imagined! Max was amazing, he gave me loads of information and was the most pleasant and upbeat (somewhat goofy) guy! I dreaded trying to find a unit and all the hidden costs that I have experienced in the past. He was upfront and straightforward. I appreciate the professionalism and great attitude. Thanks for the walk-around and your time. Looking forward to seeing him again at move it! This was also one of the cleanest facilities I have ever been to and not to mention a great location. Thanks again Max! ... Read more

Max has consistently demonstrated outstanding performance and a strong commitment to customer service during his time at Public Storage. His contributions have been invaluable, and he is a tremendous asset to the team. He excels at making every customer feel valued as well as a master of clear and friendly communication, patiently walking customers through the rental process, explaining the different unit sizes, and answering all of their questions with a positive attitude. ... Relocating can be as exciting as it is stressful, perhaps even more so.. however, I recently had an excellent experience at Public Storage, thanks to Max Garcia! He expertly guided me through the different storage options, highlighting their top-notch security features like 24/7 surveillance and coded access. Max reassured me about the climate-controlled units, perfect for preserving my sensitive items. The facility was impeccably clean and well-maintained, which gave me added confidence. Max's friendly and knowledgeable assistance made my decision easy. I highly recommend Public Storage for all your moving and storing needs—ask for Max, and you won't be disappointed! Sounds to good to be true, but as a first timer using a service such as this in the adult world.. I expected worse, and compared to some of the other options i previously looked into, it was a no-brainer. ... Read more

This facility has been amazing for me over the last year or so. All the staff I talked with helped me greatly in making sure I understood how the storage agreement worked. I especially am thankful to Max for being so kind as to clear what little I wasn’t able to pack upon moving out. Thank you very much. If I were ever to come back to Colorado Springs in the future, the Blue Horizon location for Public Storage is top notch and the one I’d be using again. ... Read more

Service is going downhill some. I've been here since almost the beginning & Krista was amazing! Totally on top of everything, always in the office & always super helpful. Sadly, she got promoted I was told & since then it's been a revolving door. Billie Jean was friendly but never followed through with things & was never in the office. I remember stopping by like 6 times over 2 weeks to try & catch her in the office & was never able to. Since she's been gone, it's a totally new person & the office is closed most of the time! In fact stopped in twice tonight & the office was closed, again, when it should have been open. Came back 10 minutes later & employee was walking in, even though it was closing time & there was a cop car outside. Concerning! Krista was the last employee that was reliably there & she's been gone for over a year now :-( I still like the convenience of the facility, but I don't like having rotating property managers that are never there, they don't take 'ownership' of the property. They jack up your rates constantly & there is no loyalty for the amount of time you've been with them. Also, had an issue where I was told that if I paid for a year at once, they would not raise rates. Krista even checked with her manager to be sure she was correct, the district mgr. So, I did it on mulitple units & sure enough, at the end, they raised my rates even though I was going to do it again. Krista never got it straightened out. I could not reach the District Mgr, only a secretary who wouldn't let me speak to her, then when I tried to follow up yet again, Krista was gone. Billie Jean supposedly was going to have her call me but it never happened. Tried following up w/BJ many times, but she was never there. Finally got her, she was gonna lmk in 3 days, of course that didn't happen & when I went 2 wks later to follow up again, she was no longer the prop mgr. This part has been a nightmare! When the Property Mgr, checks with the District Mgr to be sure that she's giving you the correct financial info & the district mgr confirms it, I think everyone did their due diligence, so extremely disappointing to afterwards tell me it's not true!!! Still no resolution & I imagine there won't be one between the revolving door of employees & no way to talk to the District Mgr. Really disappointing since I've been with them since Open. You'd think they'd want to keep long term customers happy. ETA: Also a few weeks ago, one of the revolving door new employees was cleaning & opened the sliding door & then held it open for me to enter. He didn't know me & that's a security breach. The employees should know better than to hold the door open for patrons so there's no digital signature & how do they know I"m actually a patron & not a burglar? ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 3601 Blue Horizon View Drive include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Keyless Unit Access, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 3601 Blue Horizon View Drive start from $10 and can go up to $276 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
