Horrible customer service! The rent doubled in 3 months time. It was raised not once but twice in 3 months. I was locked out of my unit due to my bill being past due which is completely understandable. I called 2 hours before I was going to be at my unit and successfully paid my balance. I had to walk from the gate to my unit with a considerably heavy amount of things to put in my unit. I got to the unit only to find the unit inaccessible with the storage business lock still on. I called the office and asked the attendant to come remove the lock to be told he would after he finished his lunch. It's a slow Saturday after 1:30. The same attendant that took my $400 payment on the phone can't be bothered to prioritize customers. I allowed ample time for this to be done before I arrived which is why I called 2 hours before I arrived so the lock would be off when I got here dragging double my weight. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone. I have asked for the district managers information to make a formal complaint only to be told that I didn't need to make a complaint because he didn't feel it was necessary... This customer service is the worst I have seen ever! DON'T RENT HERE!!! ... Read more

These storage units are the worst, infestation of mice, poor insulation and poor on-site assistance. My rent was raised from $65 when I first opened the unit 5 years ago to $180 by the time I left. At one point I asked for my rent to decrease as it was a lot higher then other rental units in the area and my request was declined so I make arrangements to move my stuff out. I would not recommend to anybody!!! ... Read more

So far so good. The reservation was very easy. I called because I had a bunch of questions. All my questions were answered, and my reservation was completed on the spot. By the time I finished on the phone, I had my access codes. The facility itself is easily accessible, with wide driveway spaces between the storage units. Easy to turn around and back into the units to load and unload. The grounds are clean, and fences appear very secure. Moreover, the facility is part of the U-Haul system. When I logged into my U-Haul account, the storage units showed up on my account with lots of information and ability to manage the account. ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
