Having been in a First Key Homes property for a year, my experience is a little bittersweet. While the property I'm in is very nice, over time, I've noticed flaws that were not apparent at first. The heating/AC unit is not adequate for an almost 3000 sqft home. The gas, electric and water bills have not shown us any efficiency. During the winter, the heating system didn't work properly. Now during summer, the AC is not working properly. I understand that First Key has a lot of properties but this makes emergency response time slow. If we had know all these issues up front, other options would have been taken. Our lease has just went up another $300 a month, but I don't feel like we have gotten our money's worth at the initial leasing cost.
