Mostly above average.

My rent is reasonable so no complaints there. On the minus side is the noise of Peabody Square, i.e. cars racing along Railroad Ave., the fire station and especially the ambulance garage just up the street, yapping little dogs and loud socializing just below my apartment window. (Okay,I admit, that's just nitpicking.) I have not had heat since after my first year (even though it was fixed…twice), but I have a space heater so…okay. Hot water is in no way reliable. On the other hand is walkability: Drug store, library, food and my beloved cafe are all within easy walking distance. That is a big plus for me.

Better than average

I have been living here for almost six years. The best is the location which is within walking distance of downtown: i.e. cafe, library, drugstores, restaurants/fast food, markets. The worst is the location which is very noisy in window open weather: i.e. ambulances, traffic, directly under jet landing approach, noisy smokers just below my window.
