Good place, good price, bad noise.

The price is good, and the building is in an excellent location. Parking might be tricky, but if you don't mind public transport the main bus station is only a couple blocks away, making it possible to get all over the city. My only serious complaint is the noise, but that's not something the apartment has control over - the noise in question comes from traffic and people in the streets.

Convenient Location, low price

There is an income limit for the place, but if you are under that it's very affordable. It's very close to the bus center making it pretty easy to get mostly everywhere. Noise is a constant issue due to traffic and especially when the iditarod is happening, but the windows can shut out a lot of the sound.

Cost Effective

This is a low-income housing apartment, so you more or less get what you pay for. The rooms are small, and only allow one resident. Restrooms are shared, and very similar to the kind you would find at a restaurant. It's very secure, as you need a key to get through both of the first doors into the building, and a separate key to get into your room - the bathrooms have their own key as well ( men's and women's restrooms have their own keys respectively ). It's right in the middle of downtown, and your neighbors are very close, so be careful if you do not like noise, though your windows when shut can block most of the outside noise, and residents are supposed to be quiet during the night anyways. There are regular pest control checks, and checks on the fire systems as well. If you are okay with a small living area and some shared accommodations, it is an overall excellent place to live, especially for the cost of rent.
