Because we’re always on a mission to make your real estate journey not only smarter, but also smoother, RentCafe.com is rolling out a batch of new updates this month.
With these new features, we’re putting some powerful new tools right at your fingertips, each designed with your quality of life in mind. Let’s dive into what’s new!
1. Self Storage & Coworking tabs now easier to spot
When you’re deciding where to live, it helps to know if everyday essentials — like extra storage or a coworking space — are nearby. With this update, renters can now quickly spot neighboring self-storage and coworking options right on the map while viewing any property.
Thanks to this new brand update making tabs more visible, you get quick, relevant context that can help you understand how well a place fits your day-to-day needs.
2. Latest cost of living & school data
When you’re planning a move, having accurate, up-to-date information can make all the difference. That’s why our latest update focuses on helping renters access the most accurate data provided by two of our key tools — the Cost of Living Calculator and local school information.
This way, when you compare cities or neighborhoods, you’re working with the latest numbers on housing, transportation and groceries. Whether you’re moving across the country or just across town, you can trust that the numbers you see reflect current local trends.
3. Contact buttons that actually pop
Reaching out about a property should be simple, no matter where you are in your search. And, with this update, contacting property managers is made easier at every step of your journey because the contact buttons on desktop have been redesigned to stand out more.
You’ll also notice improvements to other key tools — like clearer Share, Next and Expand buttons — along with a newly introduced Favorites counter to help you keep tabs on listings you’re interested in.
Did you know? Smart renting starts with the Rent Affordability Calculator
A feature that might not always get the spotlight it deserves is our Rent Affordability Calculator. By plugging in your income and a few quick financial details, the calculator gives you a personalized estimate of how much rent you can reasonably afford — without stretching your budget too thin.
Essentially, if you’re unsure what your rent range should be (or just want to double-check your numbers), this calculator can give you peace of mind and a solid starting point.
At RentCafe.com, we’re always looking for ways to fine-tune your experience, and these latest updates are all about helping you make smarter, faster and more confident decisions.
