The Edison

The apartments here are very nice (they even have pocket doors) and spacious. I have never heard any noise from my neighbors, which is great as I work from home. The staff and maintenance have been very friendly and helpful, and they are very easy to work with.

decent overall

what I like: - hard-surface floor instead of carpet - great amenities: dog park, swimming pool, game room, community room, gym, underground parking garage with AC & bike rack & storage. Outdoor grill. More above-ground parking. - newly built - nice & safe neighbourhood - giant windows all the way to the floor - patio / balcony - intercom. central AC - Maintenance is friendly & quick. what I dislike: - If you apartment is near / above the gym, the AC is very loud - location is not very walkable. there's nothing around. No stores / restaurants / anything. AFAICT you can't leave the south-point neighbourhood on foot without jaywalking or walking in car lanes. - doors are locked with fob. personally I prefer keys. - the main entrance lobby is decorated to the point that it seems excessive & wasteful. Golden ceiling, giant TVs, fireplace, coffee machine. - gas stove. not the most environmental / safest option (I happen to have had a leakage problem). Though cooking with gas is better than electric in my opinion.
