Love!
This is a fantastic apartment! The staff is always friendly, there are great amenities, and the interior design is gorgeous. The only "negatives" are the location and noise. There are walking paths all around, but you'll need to drive to go to any restaurants. That being said - My apartment looks out at the pool and a pond and I've seen deer, cranes, and birds - so you get that perk! It's a 15 min ride to the capitol so you're still not too far out. As for noise - It's still an apartment complex, so hearing upstairs neighbors walking (and stomping) is expected, but I haven't had any issues with hearing other resident's loud music or events. The best thing about this apartment is that it's beautiful! It makes me feel happy coming home every night. What more could one ask for?!
Wonderful apartments, amenities with great management!
Lafayette is one of the best rental properties we have stayed in. The apartment layouts are great with good quality materials and finishes. The amenities are top notch with a hot tub and sauna great for those long Wisconsin winters. The gym has a good amount of equipment including a squat rack and free weights that go up to 70lbs. The management is wonderful with Bridget and her team always responsive to residents' needs, and they have monthly events and contests to bring a more communal feel. The location is great and only 10 min to downtown Madison. There are plenty of trails around the area and it is nice and quiet. There is a train track for a local freight train that is loud when it is there but only runs twice during the warmer seasons and not at all during the winter. Overall, a five-star experience. We were sad to leave Lafayette when we had to move out of state but will definitely choose it again if we ever move back to Madison!

Amazing Property
The Lafyette has been a trmendous experience. Their amenities are incredible. Pool, hot tub, sauna, lounge area, fitness facility, everything that you need. It feels safe, in a great location. The staff is amazing too! Very happy with our experience here!

Excellent management! Excellent place to live!
Apartments and the apartment community are both clean and very well taken care of thanks to Bridget and the maintenance team! Anything you need, they respond quickly and friendly!! Property and grounds are taken care of really nicely so you dont run into dog waste! I appreciate them taking such good care of us residents!!

Great apartments, great staff, great location, but expensive
The staff is always very helpful and accommodating. Any request or comments we make gets addressed quickly and efficiently. It's a great feeling to have the property manager know us by name and always welcomes us with a warm smile! The apartments are beautiful with great finishes and very modern accents. The sense of community the property manager is trying to build is also wonderful with lots of free classes and free events located in the community room. However, rent constantly increases and is too expensive. Utilities--like water, sewer, storm charge, and trash removal--used to be included in rent, but they are an additional charge now. Our parking garage spot used to be included in rent, but that is also an additional charge. It seems like everything has an additional charge. Many apartments in the Madison area are going on the same route with pretty similar rent prices, so with the Lafayette, you get the great bonuses of the community events and great staff. If you can afford to pay over $1500 a month in rent for any size apartment, then these are a great option.
