Since being here for 2 years now, I have found the atmosphere to be what I expected. What with being among us Seniors. Being an active senior, I am finding outside activities more my liking right now. I am sure that will change in due time. lol I love the community. If you mean De Pere...I have lived in De Pere since 2008. Retired two years ago from a local business. Nicolet Highlands as a community...I am still finding my way. Enjoy the activities that are available and the special occasions. I do not attend all of these activities, but I do enjoy playing the board games. I've heard a variety of opinions before and after I moved into the Highlands. But I made my own choice to move here due to the location and WHEDA availability. My previous apartment is with Toonen Properties and I lived in East De Pere for 13 years. Loved it very much. If I were to recommend living here to others? I would leave it up to them. Recommendations would be an area within the compound, if possible, a vegetable garden area. Maybe the tenants who do not have balconies or patios, would enjoy growing vegetables and maybe some flowers. I could go off the deep end and say, bring in a hot tub!!!! lol
