Not the worst, but too expensive

Overall, it was OK. The narrative I got from maintenance made clear that y'all inherited a mess and have been working hard to restore it. The smell of urine in the B building entry way is tough to cope with as a resident. The solution is to tear up that old carpet, vapor seal the concrete beneath and lay down new carpet. Speaking from experience, no amout of carpet fresh or rug doctoring will fix that. I cleaned nursing facilities. I know about which I speak. The noise and security issues are location dependent so...not much can be done there. As for amenities...don't charge for an excercise room that was closed for 6 months. That's on you guys to manage. I get that you can't stop every vagrant, but dont charge your residents for an amenity that is closed due to safety. That's bad business. Instead, rip out the old in wall heat fans and replace them with ductless heat pumps, then you get heating and a/c in every unit. That is a justified expenditure that resident will be willing to pay for. Saves money and is way more efficient.

The apartment is nice. Its not very quiet due to being located at a busy street. Not many amenities. Rent is high and keeps going up every year.

Top notch

Besides the parking spot being so tight with a cement pole in the way.. Customer service with front office was prime. They are knowledgeable, quick and friendly. Maintenance man was amazing as well. Quite place and the people we have seen so far were helpful and kind. We feel it's a safe place that had everything and more that we were looking for in our next home. Beyond happy and satisfied

Okay at Best

The location is convenient, the size and layout of the units are good, there is ample paid parking, and the balconies are solid. The fireplaces that seem to be in all units are a huge plus in my book. However, this is a property that charges the Seattle maximally-legal 10% rent increase each new lease signing, despite the sharp downturn in the market and the rise in building issues. When we first moved in, this was a reasonably riced and reasonably cared for property. Since then, we've seen a sharp rise in issues regarding criminally disruptive neighbors, urine and fecal stains being left for months in shared spaces, multiple (3-5 in one year) false fire alarms and associated fire code issues, an increase in cost of shared washer/dryers, the shared gym now being permanently closed due to still-unspecified "misuse," constant property damage to the elevators, and a general lack of care in the building itself - which is settling and causing large cracks in walls on the East side. Maintenance is quick, but provides band aid fixes. All of this would be less of a slap in the face if they were not attempting to charge the same rent as nearby "luxury" buildings. Given the quick downturn in quality, I believe we could see an equally sharp increase in due time. But I will have to see it to believe it given what appears to be apathy from management. All in all would rate a 6.5/10; its fine if its what you can afford.
