I would recommend the Rivet

I have enjoyed living at the Rivet for the majority of the time. The location proximity to SLU is fantastic and is the closest location to Mercer/Fairview, which means you're close to the lake and everything else SLU has to offer. The staff have been very friendly and professional, and the building is well-maintained and cleaned regularly. The biggest drawbacks for me were the small size of the apartment for the price, and with the location comes proximity to homeless shelters, and they had an issue with getting the hot water to work for some time, although that is resolved, it's still not as hot as I would have liked it. But these are very minor cons, overall loved it at Rivet.

Overall great

Mercer st. noise can be difficult in the summer when windows are open. Overall a great place to stay. Rooftop and lounge area are a dream. I do wish some freeweights were added to the gym.

Happy with Rivet as Option in SLU

I've lived at Rivet for the past three months, after having re-located from Los Angeles. I wanted something in South Lake Union for its central location within Seattle as well as being close to tech company offices such as Amazon and Google. There are a lot of dining and bar options within walking distance, and the proximity to the lake is a huge plus. The common areas are a nice bonus: pool table, foosball, TV, and a beautiful deck with BBQ's and pingpong table. The package lockers are nice however not all packages are locked and I have lost one package, unfortunately. There has been some recurring noise (trash trucks, noisy foot traffic) although generally it is usually quiet, especially at night, which is great.
