Great apartment in Fremont!

Collage is a small apartment bullding that has pretty much everything you'd need. The units are nice with reasonable floor plans and natural light, the price is quite good, and the rooftop common area is also quite nice. There's no amenities like a gym or indoor common area, but I don't find that a big deal due to its proximity to other gyms and cafes. The location is excellent, especially for the price, as it's close to multiple bus routes and even Gasworks park. The parking garage is fine, but my bike was stolen from the rack there, and I have heard of bike thefts happening to other residents as well. The maintenance so far has been okay, but slow. The only elevator has been out of order twice in the past 2 months, and it has taken a few hours to more than a day to get fixed. Overall i would still strongly recommend this apartment despite some minor inconveniences.

Good location and value

I lived here for less than a year. Overall it was pretty good: pretty nice and relatively new building and units; good location close to Lake Union and Fremont; relatively affordable for the area and apartment quality. The only amenity besides parking is the rooftop which has a fantastic view of Lake Union and downtown. There wasn't much staff and they didn't do all that much, but they were nice enough people. There wasn't much community either: people mostly kept to themselves - but maybe this was just my floor. The only problem for me and the reason I didn't stay longer was that I wanted someplace quieter: it's next to Stone Way, a busy street. There's a construction site (I'm writing this in summer 2023) on the SE corner of 36th and Stone Way that was fairly loud to my sensitive ears. I'm sure some people wouldn't mind it. It's just part of living in a busy area. There's a parking lot under the building on the ground floor; my only complaint is that it's not fully covered by the building so some of the parking spots are partly exposed to the elements, and it's theoretically not as secure as a fully enclosed parking garage would be.
