GRE: CHEAP

I've lived here several years. Overall cleanliness of the trash chutes, stairs, elevators, common areas has gone down past year. GRE changes staff around frequently, Quite disconcerting - I like our staff. Many of the doors need painting. I love the location; it's a very walkable community close to many businesses and services I use.

Many broken appliances in the apartment. The upstairs area pool rable, grills, and tv are all bsrrly usable.

Maintenance

I like my apartment, location is great. Maintenance requests in my apartment are always responded to immediately (Abou is great). The exercize room is clean, equipment works. But the stairways are always cob-webbed, pet-stained, litter strewn and walls scuffed. Even the main hallways are only vacuumed every few weeks, pet urine spots never cleaned between cleanings (1-2 times a year). The trash chute area on the second floor is filthy and smelly. There are only 6 handicapped spaces available; at least one time a month there are no spaces available so I have to park out on the street. There are several cars with expired license tabs that haven't moved in many months. The second floor hallway and doors along it are in serious need of painting. (I like the rusty-orange color). At least part of the problem seems to be that the maintenance assistant is shared with one or more other GRE buildings so he is rarely here.
