There are several pros and cons to living in the city in old houses. Usually, the pros outweigh the cons if you have a responsive landlord who isnt trying to nickel and dime you on repairs / mold maintence.

Have loved living in this property! The property managers are excellent! Walking distance to many conveniences and the properties space (including outdoor) is divine!

We moved here late last year. The house is spectacular, historic, large and sunny! The area is perfect for those that love nightlife, good restaurants and being close to the river. However, we have had some incidents of people knocking on the door really late at night asking for money. We also had to buy extra locks for the front and back doors. The noise level is the worst. People walking up and down the streets at all hours shouting and partying. Super loud cars roaring by all night with the noise-making mufflers. People parking out front playing music playing so loud our windows literally rattle. Also we have several neighbors that have dogs that let them bark most of the day and sometimes ALL NIGHT. We got a white noise machine but you can still hear the dogs over it... yes, they are **that** loud. So, not much sleep and a lot of stress. The only good things are the house, some kind neighbors and being able to walk to some great restaurants and hiking trails.
