Pretty good for the price

Rent is cheap, I didn’t expect amenities and didn’t recieve anything semi-significant other than a pool, so I’m not surprised there. I’m probably just unlucky but my apartment has had many plumbling issues since I moved in. Maintenance is usually pretty good about coming when they say they will and they’re quick with their repairs. Original builders seemed to have cut some corners and current maintenance is paying the price (literally). Also, the “refurbished” apartments are essentially just home flips. They threw down some new floors, painted the walls, replaced the countertop finish, and painted all of the cabinets with trim paint— not so gracefully, might I add. Staff at first was unpredictable about the times someone would be in-office and hard to get ahold of, but it seems like things have changed for good. When I first tried to move in and get a lease, I had to stake outside of the front office during the day for a few weeks before I actually caught someone going into the offices. There are set in-office hours now so thats no longer a problem. Lots of open spaces to park, plus everyone gets a free visitors pass. Potholes. Spooky at night since they’re lacking in street lights in some parts of the complex. Also, there are technically 2 pools but one has been left in disarray and is unable to be used (I’m convinced there are fish living in that pool). It’s a bit of an eyesore. Despite all this, I legitimately think this is the cheapest 1-bedroom housing option in this area, so it’s worth it. Pretty close to campus, so it’s best to live here if you like getting to class on time and not leaving your house on gameday. Bus route nearby is reliable and quick (Route 36), and drops you off next to Rudder. There is a Brookshire Brothers and a McDonalds within biking distance, if you’re into that sort of thing.
