Everyone ive talked to has been extremely nice and helpful!

Easy living. Loved it here the first year. Noise is an issue lately. The people recently residing are making problems and are known to everyone. Never heard firearms here until this past summer. The folks making problems know when the office is closed. I regret to think that it’s coming down to filling units rather than keeping it as an affordable/creative community as advertised. The laundry units are barely working because grown poeple are abusing them. Again, had a good first year and renewed to stay another. I’m preparing to look elsewhere next yeat at this point. The office and maintenance personell have been exceptionable and have done nothing other than try to help and communicate to the resedents the agreements to what we signed to live here.

It's been a fine place to live. Sure there have been a couple things that make me grumpy, like the fact that they halved the amount of washer and dryers in the laundry room. However that was to make way for the gym area. The parking isn't great but honestly it's east nahville. The parking won't be great. All in all I would say this place is worth living in for A year.

This apartment complex in East Nashville is the sort that looks good in pictures or a tour, but reveals its true colors once you've lived here a while. The units were clearly renovated on the cheap and many fixtures are not properly installed. The bathroom faucets are affixed to the sink unit using wood glue instead of via a tightened nut meaning that they're both easy to break and difficult to repair. the cabinetry was installed using shorter than necessary screws requiring you to be extra gentle for fear of damaging them. The dish washers are inexpensive and front heavy leading to them tilting forwards if you dont keep a hand on them while they are open. The mail room has no enforcement leading to a culture of fear that your packages might be taken by another tenant or perhaps just a random passerby. The wiring for internet clearly hasn't been updated in a very very long time as ISPs only offer their slowest bandwidth packages to this property. The parking lot has far too few parking spots for the number of occupied units with seemingly little interest from the property managers to address what is a clear issue. In summation, these apartments are livable but mildly overpriced for how flimsy the renovation process on them was. You live here because you have to, not because you particularly want to.

multiple washers and driers have been broken for months now, the parking lot is not large enough for the number of residents, there have been multiple hit-and-run accidents in the parking lot leading to residents with damaged cars and no recourse. The staff only seems interested in finding new ways to monetize the place (reserved parking, the laundry service in the laundry room, the compound-wide internet) and not interested in improving the complex as a whole, and at this rate many renters on their first year at The Canvas will not be interested in renewing their leases. Ways to actually tangibly improve the compound would be to replace the faulty washers and driers, take action to clean and discourage littering in the parking lot, rewiring the faulty and inconsistent electricity, and seeking an expansion of the parking lot.
