Ive been here since 2020. Only issue ive had maintence can ge a little slow. Ive had a few issues with my AC unit and refridgator going out. Other than i love the place. Good area and feel safe.

So far i am liking where i live. Its very quite, however my safty is my concern. Since I moved in December, I have come home from work three times in the evening with police cars (shelby county police) cars riding around the units flashing their lights looking for someone. APPLING LAKE send me emails every day or every other day about things going on in the community but never about why police presence is being seen in the community. What has really upset me is this past week either Tuesday or Wednesday when the police were chasing somebody in our apartment complex, and the car ended in up in the lake in front of the apartments. NO one from APPLING LAKE has bothered to update the tenants on what exactly happened. I am a single person with a four year old child things like that we need to be made aware to the tenets. Also, you guys promised me that this was a gated community when I signed my lease. I was given a card to access the gates . I was told when I signed my lease that something was wrong with the Wi-Fi and the gates were being fixed. Well its been two months and my Wi-Fi works perfectly fine with Comcast which I know the apartment complex uses as well however, the gates are still not working. You quoted me 1464 a month for rent for this apartment and I have yet to pay 1464 a month. You guys add all these fees for trash pets this and that but you can’t fix the gates to the apartment complex to make the residence feel just a little bit safer. That is one of the reasons I moved here was for safety. I would just greatly appreciate if someone could keep me in the loop about things that are going on on the property that could potentially be hazardous to a single person living alone here. Also, when are the gates going to be fixed?
