Spacious and close to CMU

Shadyside commons is a nice community to live in with great amenities and staff. I started living here 3 years ago and have not had any complaints. I'm a student at CMU, it is a short walk to campus so is relatively convenient compared to other options. Overall a great place to live!

Great staff and location, thin walls

I have never had a place with faster maintenance or a cooler vibe. The only problem is the walls are thin so if you have loud neighbors, or even if someone just runs a blender or vacuum next door, you hear it. The bedrooms are quieter but the living rooms are thin.

Great location, great property managers!

We have enjoyed living here for a year so far. Kathleen, Katie and team work hard to maintain and decorate the common areas and provide/coordinate special events, including food trucks, coffee in the lobby, seasonal gifts, even a holiday gift wrapping station! Communications are timely and informative. The location of this complex is fantastic and the building/apartments have lots of character. Very happy to be here!
