Excellent Living Situation

I've really enjoyed living here - the staff is so kind and helpful and really works to make the environment welcoming and safe. Street parking is ample, and the units contain sounds very well. In the almost two years I've lived here, I barely hear my neighbors. Looking forward to renewing my lease again!

Great apartment if noise doesn't bother you

I love my apartment. It's a great space, building, staff and location, but it is VERY poorly insulated for sound. I am not exaggerating - I can hear my upstairs neighbors have full conversations, open their fridge and doors, and other not so fun things to be hearing... it's especially frustrating because people aren't even yelling. Just normal level conversations. That's not even talking about walking around, chairs dragging, etc. If I had known it was this bad before moving here, I would have found a different place, so I'm warning whoever will read this.

Our comfortable, bright, and roomy home for many years.

We are into our sixth year living here, after moving over from Nob Hill to get more space for our money. Cannot complain about our apartment space: roomy and bright. Makes living through the winter a pleasant breeze. Though we have lived though a couple owners of the property, one thing that has never changed is the pleasantness of the office and maintenance staff. Always nice; always attentive; always looking to make this a nicer home. Access to downtown and other parts of town is super convenient due to the #4 bus stop at the corner. Love that! As to the neighborhood itself, well it has become even more of an entertainment district than when we first moved in. Positives and negatives come with that. At least we have lots of places to choose from on nights when we do not feel like cooking. Walking distance to a grocery store is a bonus. Big plus is the close proximity to Peninsula Park. Such a gem. Negatives? First off, they are not exclusive to this property. Look in any Portland apartment built in the last 10 years and you'll likely to find the exact same appliances and HVAC units. Somebody has a monopoly! Unfortunately, they are also quite low budget. Get the job done but do expect to crank up the sound volume when the dishwasher and/or HVAC are running. High tenant turnover too, making it seem like a temporary way station for new arrivals to Portland. Generally though, all of our neighbors have been very nice, sometimes making it sad to seem them go within six months or a year. Comes with apartment living. In summary, we expect to remain here for at least several more years, especially since we have never found a comparable or better alternative. No incentives to leave.
