Pets allowed. We are proud to be a pet-friendly community! Our resident pets are an integral part of Shiplake living. All Shiplake pets must be kept on a leash when outside of their suite and are required to use the designated pet-relief areas located outside the building.  We are pleased to offer outdoor dog runs where pets are free to roam and play off-leash. Pets are not permitted in amenity spaces, with the exception of service animals accompanying their primary handler; appropriate documentation must be provided. Residents are required to remove their pets from the suite or safely confine them in a crate or carrier when the landlord or authorized staff require access to the suite.Cats allowed. Dogs allowed.

Living here for about four years has been a great experience. The building is well-maintained, the community feels welcoming, and the amenities truly elevate daily life, especially the rooftop, gym, pool, and the unbeatable location. Last month, fire alarm testing was carried out for 4 days in a row, then paused over the weekend, and continued again on Monday. In total, that meant 5 days of fire alarm testing. This has been very disruptive for residents, especially those working from home, families with babies, and pet owners. In addition, last night there was an extremely loud fire alarm that went on and off very quickly. It woke up dogs and babies, and there was no explanation or apology afterward. Situations like this are very stressful for residents. Of course, building safety is important, and fire alarm testing is necessary. However, the frequency of these disruptions and the lack of communication make the experience much harder for residents than it needs to be. Better notice, clearer communication, and consideration for the impact on people in the building would be greatly appreciated.
