The apartments are large and bright, but starting to fall apart. The superintendent works hard, and he does whatever is in his power, so the place is clean and kept well. However, the building management does not take care of the big things, so we have leaks and water issues, damaged floors, etc. There are bizarrely only three garbage bins for the entire building. There are also three washers, two of which are likely out of order at any given time. The windows are thin, old, and very delicate. The balcony doors are attached by a thin strip of metal. There is no electrical outlet in the bathroom. Etc etc etc. It gets very hot and very cold, as you might imagine. On the other hand, the people are lovely, the apartments are big, and everyone does what they can.

My experience living at 25 Bedford has been a humbling one. With no air conditioning, microwave, dishwasher and my inability to control the heating either. Further, no shower curtains or window fixtures of any sort were provided either. The building has a common laundry system which was not mentioned clearly in the lease. I’m only living here because it is close to my university.
