Overpriced and horrible maintenance

There were many utility issues with our unit, and maintenance and management has not been very helpful. It is hard to get someone to actually come out and take a look at the apartment, even when we have pressing issues. For example, we have no control over the heating in our apartment; it will be 20 degrees outside and 50 in our unit, and even if we set the thermostat to 90, it is still freezing. We were told that this is because our unit used to be combined with the one next to it and there is nothing they can do about it. So essentially we have no control over the temperature in our apartment and we were not informed of this before signing the lease, and we have received nothing as an apology. We believe the rent is far too high for the space and is taking advantage of students. The location is good and close to campus, but the street is also very busy and constantly noisy, and the walls and windows in the unit are so thin that you can hear nearly everything.

Live on non-street side, so noise is not a problem. Walls are quite soundproof. Location is really good for studying at the university.

I have lived here for about two months now and so far I've had a great experience communicating with staff members and any maintenance concerns. We have a good location close to campus and 711, which is always convenient. Our apartment is also in good shape relative to other apartments in Collegetown, and since our room faces the back of the building, we do not hear noises from the busy street.
