good location, false advertisement on listings.

parking arrangements were originally communicated to me that they were on a waitlist situation, when i checked after re-signing my lease for a second term i was told only specific units were given a garage. therefore, i would have to move into a specific unit if it was available and wanted a garage. also, when looking at the units, it states there is in unit laundry and or laundry hook ups available. this is not the case. there is only shared laundry facilities in the building. the noise is usually not an issue, but in the case of a heavy dispute, it can be heard from up a floor and across the building. the location is good, since its pretty close to downtown, and near island park. that is sort of its only saving point.

Great Starter Location

I moved in from out of town. The first thing I noticed about the place was it was a great central location, so if I needed to get a job, my commute would be about the same no matter where. It is also close to downtown and Island Park. I've seen many people walking their dogs, so it's a great neighborhood to run into people as well. Maintenance is on top of things; the day after I moved in, the lock to the building wasn't working, and the next day, the maintenance guy was out replacing the lock with a new one. The cost is great for just starting out. I even asked for wood flooring, and while they went with vinyl wood flooring instead, I like that they went with an eco-friendly alternative that still achieves a wood look to the floors!

Common Area Improvements

Friendly neighborhood, nice apartments. Common areas in dire need of improvement: high windows need cleaning, carpets replaced (cleaned once in 5 yrs.!), wood panel replacement or update, apt. door frames. & walls need paint & attention to cracks. Garages need partial sheetrock (no wall) inside, garage exterior in dire need of repacement around garage door wood frame (chipped paint & wood deterioration). Grass for patchy areas. Parking lots need big equiptment cleaning yearly. (dirt, small loose gravel).
