City living

I lived here for 2 years now. The location is in the heart of downtown Charlotte. You can walk to almost all of the major attractions and restaurants. My car is parked in the garage 95% of the time. Sitting out on your balcony can be very entertaining most nights. The only issue that I have experienced thus far is the bad traffic that comes with events at the stadium.

Great Location

Living at the Bell is great, in terms of its proximity to Uptown's office buildings. It's a great place to live, if you work close by. Living across from the baseball stadium allows for some pretty cool scenes from the balcony, but it does come with its fair share of noise from the stadium and Romare Bearden Park. There are loud motorcycles and cars that think it's awesome to rev their engines and stunt on everyone that's in the park. However, if you are high enough up in the building and sleep with a fan, you should be fine. The Bell has stepped their maintenance up since purchasing the building from the Element. I rarely, if ever, hear my neighbors and the layout of the apartments are great. I have lived here for almost three years and would recommend it to anyone moving to Charlotte from out of state.

Parking

There have been a lot of issues with parking since the new owners took over. Dumpsters have blocked the mint street exit for over a month now so its reduced to one lane. This makes is dangerous to pull in or out as its a blind turn into a single lane. Also numerous trucks have been parked on the ramp (not in parking spaces) between mint and the main entrance reducing this to one lane and forcing a blind turn near a high traffic area. The trucks have have been parked illegally every day for over a month. Also the exit gate has been broken and left open for a couple months now. The very limited number of guest parking have had spots roped off and blocked. Many residents (the same repeat offenders) frequently double park and no action is taken from management
