The location truly is amazing and not outrageously expensive. However, with old buildings comes the loudest hardwood floors you've ever heard in your life. Nails stick out of the floors and cabinets, paint is splattered everywhere from prior maintenance, cobwebs are in every corner from previous tenants, and the closets are too narrow to allow space for hangers. Additionally, the "maintenance" is prompt, but overpriced and underqualified. Door lock not working? Don't call maintenance unless you want to spend $50 for two AA batteries. Sink pipes disconnected? Maintenance will just pop it back on without any additional security to make sure it stays in place. But overall, great apartments for your first time living in the city.

Parking is limited but not bad. The building is old so the floors are extremely loud, I can't imagine what it's like for my downstairs neighbor when I'm simply walking around. Maintenance heavily overcharges ($50 for 2 AA batteries for my DOOR LOCK) and doesn't seem to have much maintenance knowledge. It's cheaper and better quality to just do it yourself. But the location can't be beat for the price and overall the apartment is very charming.
