Carleton Artist Lofts

I’ve had a fantastic experience living at the Carleton A building. My partner and I share a comfortable one-bedroom with rustic high ceilings and lots of light. The buildings are well-maintained, and I can enjoy working in the community art studio, gathering room, and gym. At the end of a busy day. I always look forward to coming home

After living here for a year and a half, it's been okay. The apartment is nice and maintenance is responsive, though they don't always get things fixed the first time. My vehicle has been broken into once and stolen once due to lax parking lot security. The apartment is expensive, and the same price as market-rate apartments even though it's LITC housing, so there are income restrictions for moving in. The rent versus what one has to make don't make sense at all for a single person. They charge late fees earlier than average places, and are very particular about getting them, even if they've gotten all the applicable rent. It's a nice place to live, but it is overpriced for sure.

It is a pleasure to live at the Carleton artist lofts. Plenty of sunlight high ceilings with a great staff and art Community. Washer and dryer and dishwasher is an plus. free Wi-Fi in the community room with a big screen, TV, great dry room, workout room great roof with several grills for a grilling nice to be able to sit out in the sun or in the shade with my Snookums.

I find that the staff is extremely helpful and efficient in making the process of applying for the Carleton and navigating living in an apartment complex with so many convenient amenities. When they are maintenance issues the Carleton staff is quick in making repairs. The building is safe, clean, and well-maintained. I chose an apartment that is far enough away from the green line that it is quiet with a beautiful view of the grounds. I no longer need to drive since everything I need can be easily gotten using the green line. I’m very satisfied with living at the Carleton.

We’ve only been here a week but are liking where we’ve landed

The office staff is a bit prickly and inflexible. The rent is way overcharged for being an LITC building. It's ridiculous to expect folks to pay over 50% of their take home income on housing. It's not like food or utilities or internet are getting any cheaper.
