Why Renters Love It Here
Great place
Such a great experience so far. Melissa has been super helpful and we feel very welcomed!
It's ok
It's a nice place. Don't mind living here. Wish it had a dog park for the resident.
Overall nice location
I'd say the location is quite nice being close do South Lyon and Walmart. All necessities are met and everyone seems pretty nice to work with as of this review which is good too!
Great location, maintenance leaves a lot to be desired.
The real star of this property is the location. If you're the outdoors type then it's hard to find a better spot in this area. You have very quick access to Kensington Park, Island Lake, and one of Michigans best trail systems in the metro area. The biggest issue is maintenance. There are constant leaks from an upstairs apartment and this issue still has not been resolved. The first time I reported this, the maintenance man (who no longer works here) quickly identified it as the bathtub upstairs. The leak started happening again and the newer maintenance guy didn't seem to believe me and said it was "probably a manifold", but it is clearly a leak. Eventually something happened because I heard them scrambling upstairs, and the leak was resolved again, but it had been leaking for months at this point. Everything was quiet for another month or so, but then the same leak started happening again. It sounds like constant running water 24 hours a day, and again, I'm going to have to fight to get this resolved because I'll have to go through the whole rigamarole again, and it will again end up being the upstairs neighbor's bathtub. I had yet another leak from upstairs that started flooding my kitchen. The maintenance guy took a very ham-fisted approach originally and tightened all my faucet knobs, which only made my faucet knobs harder to turn and squeak like a banshee, and didn't resolve the issue, eventually professionals came in to resolve it. After all this leaking, I tested for mold and found plenty of it, I notified the maintenance guy who said they would take care of it, but never did. Also, I talked to a neighbor about how much they pay in rent and they pay FAR less than I do! I'm sure, despite all these problems, my rent will go up. Oh yeah, water is shared, so I have to pay for all these leaks. It has been a constant headache here.
