Why Renters Love It Here
Nice neighborhood. No problem thus far.
Current resident for one year. Maintenance comes right away, enjoy the swimming pool and mgmt. will answer your concerns within 48 business hrs. However, the rules of no smoking in the bldg. needs to be enforced and not just by emailing the residents, parking vehicles in the handicap parking space without the proper sticker and parking in the striped non parking area needs more attention.
Overall, A Good Place to Live
I've lived here since November 2021 and there have been some ups and downs. On the upside, walkable neighborhood with supermarket, post office and metro all in walking distance. I don't have small children, so schools aren't a concern for me. The current management staff is by far the kindest. Previous management staff were not friendly and didn't appear to enjoy their jobs. One of the downs is they took away the walk space in front of my building and made it a parking space and now cars block the entrance to the building which is a nuisance when you are carrying luggage or groceries. I voiced my concerns to previous and current management, but nothing has been done to put the walk space back. I started to use the back door but it's all grass, and some residents do not pick up after their dogs. To avoid stepping in poop, I just end up squeezing between the parked cars to enter/exit the building. Maintenance usually responds to requests in a timely manner. Property is clean minus the unscooped poop. The fitness center is small but nice and serves is purpose. I use it often. I do wish there was a stair master. Pool area is always clean and well maintained. I don't use the pool often at all because there are too many children for my liking and the lifeguards don't enforce the rules, so I just don't use it. Overall, it is a good area, nice and clean and the residents I've encountered are pretty friendly. I mind my business and keep it moving.
No problem
I don't have any issues. I've been here since January.
Very Nice 1st Floor Apt
I am a new resident to both Volterra Apartments and Pikesville, MD. I have to admit that both suit me very well. The complexe is close (within walking distance) to a large grocery store, a great bagel shop (Goldberg's - highly recommended), a US Post Office, and a Walgreens Pharmacy. It's nice to be able to leave my vehicle in the very secure parking lot (it's gated) and walk to do most of my errands. I live on the 1st floor, but I have had no issue with noise or inconsiderate neighbors. Everyone seems friendly. The staff (especially Cindi Charles) are extremely helpful and accommodating. I had one small maintenance concern, when moving in, and it was handled promptly and to my satisfaction. The grounds are kept immaculate and the parking lot is roomy, with plenty of open spaces (at least in my section). The kitchen and bathroom have marble counters, with the kitchen having all stainless steel appliances, including an insinkerator. The laundry room has a full size, front load washer and dryer and good storage. All in all, I am very happy with my apartment and the Volterra Apartment Complex. Highly recommended!
Noise
Walls paper thin, neighbor over top of me blasts music and runs around stomping on floor all day
