Lack of Management

The washing machines have been broken for 8 months and management knows, residents are not notified about scheduled service interruptions to water, power, or gas, management does not respond to emails about problems or anything in general. I have 3 separate emails about problems with my apartment from over a year ago that have not been responded to and I have not received a response to the email I sent over a week ago about the lack of communication from building management. Management sometimes forgets to take the recycling out causing it to pile up and overflow, then management blames residents. The safety inspection card in the elevator is currently 3 months expired, and has been expired in the past for over 6 months. I've lived in apartments that cost 1/3 of this place and had significantly better management. Very Disappointed.

I have been here about 2 months. It seems well maintained. It is quiet. Irritations like vibrations are quite tolerable. There is almost no noticeable cigarette smoke. The elevator is the greatest amenity. I makes the laundry room easy to use. It also makes it easier to carry groceries up to the 4th floor. However, I would not have known how to use the laundry machines if I had not used machines with the same money card at another place. In fact, I had to show a new tenant how to buy a card and put money on it. The room has nice wood floors and the walls look recently painted. The dishwasher does not have a silverware tray. I am 5'4" and almost all of the shelves are above my head, even with a step stool. The stove does not have pilot lights so I don't have to worry about starting a fire when I store things on the stove top. Currently I am only using the microwave (which I also use a step-stool to reach). Aside from the room being too small and farther from the Red Line than I would wish it is a good place.

very responsibly run apartment building. Akelius is good.

I've lived here about 6 years and have always been really impressed with Akelius's staff and responsiveness. Very clean and very quiet building.
