WELCOME TO BAKER CHOCOLATE FACTORY APARTMENTS On the Neponset River, at the crossroads of vintage and vogue, you'll find Baker Chocolate Factory Apartments in Boston, Massachusetts. Here in the heart of Dorchester's historic Lower Mills district, is the 1806 site of America's first successful chocolate mill, now transformed into a unique apartment enclave.

Fast-forward to the 21st Century: Dorchester’s Lower Mills area is a thriving, hip community with an eye to the future. This neighborhood has undergone a renaissance and attractions within walking distance include five-star restaurants, convenient public transportation, bakeries, antique galleries, parks and more.

Great place to live

I've lived here since early 2009. My apartment is very comfortable, and the staff are great. Things get fixed quickly. The neighborhood is attractive, safe, restaurants, pubs, and shops nearby.

Resident review

I have lived here for a little over 2 years. I have enjoyed being a resident here for a number of reasons. It is very clean, and the laundry facility is always clean. The neighbors are all polite and respectful. The courtyard is a nice place to sit and have coffee. I have hosted family BBQ's here as well. Although it's a busy corner, I rarely hear any noise from the outside that is disruptive. I often eat at the local restaurants or order take out for when I get in after work. It's close to the highway if you need to commute for work. Close to the trains/buses and a very walkable neighborhood. I take walks to the Dorchester park often and the local library is within walking distance too. I use all the amenities and community offerings as a resident here. I highly recommend Baker Chocolate Factory and plan to continue living here.
