Why Renters Love It Here

Residents appreciate the ongoing improvements and renovations at the property, as well as the spacious living areas. Many long-term residents express satisfaction with their living experience, emphasizing that they have lived there for many years and have no plans to move. Additionally, the community atmosphere is highlighted, with people noting that the residents are friendly and nice.

Avoid

Summit Shawnee Apartments has completely fallen apart. They fired their property manager two weeks ago for a ridiculous reason, and ever since then, it’s been pure chaos. There is zero leadership. The office is either closed or staffed by someone who clearly isn't equipped to manage a property—because she’s a leasing agent, not a manager. I've been trying to schedule a showing, and surprise surprise—no one answers, no one calls back, and the office is always mysteriously empty. This place is clearly spiraling, and it's honestly sad to see after they let go of someone who was actually good for the community. Shame on this place for making such a reckless decision. Until they get real leadership back in place, don’t waste your time here

Yeah nah

I've gotten lifelong injuries here due to negligence, lost my car to a hit and run, had a dishwasher flood on me, pipes freeze on me, and there's a creepy guy in my hallways knocking all hours of the day from 8am to midnight on my door and my neighbor's door wanting money or rides to the liquor store or wal mart, all for $1100 a month.

It's Okay

There are improvements being made, but very slowly. I guess that's how it goes when a property is owned by a faceless corporation several states away. But it's not bad.
