Complaining neighbors. They lose rent payments. Charge you for all they can. Try evicting you when they lose a money order.

I can’t recommend anyone to stay at Oakdale Square, it was great prior to the buyout. After the property was bought by Hunter Bloomington everything about the property has gone downhill. The initial transition was handled poorly as the property management company kept changing web portals for properties services such as maintenance request and rent payment. The Oakdale Square website was never updated to contain a link to the new web portal so you had to somehow find a random email just to pay rent. The property management company kept losing documentation that was sent to them such as required rental insurance. During a recent winter storm that had over 10 inches of snow, the property management company did no prep work prior to the snowfall. After the snow fell, tenants were responsible for snow removal. When tenants called management about the lack of snow removal, we were all told to stop complaining because they have 14 properties to remove snow for. For my specific issues, I was wanting to go month to month since it was in my current lease agreement that they agreed to the terms of when they bought the property. I was told that month to month was not possible even though it was in my lease. My only options were to quickly find a new place to live or sign a new agreement with accelerated lease payments. The accelerated payments would have me be responsible for all 12 months of rent at once if I decided to leave for any reason. Given this clause of the new lease would require a normal person to take out a loan just to leave Oakdale Square. Finally, when I did find a new place to live, and I’m glad I did with the current state of this place, I left some stuff behind to help me clean prior to turning in my keys. Maintenance went into the property on a work order and left my door unlocked. Somebody went into the property and stole my stuff. Management refuses to do anything about it. No compensation what so ever. If I could give this place zero stars I would.

They really need to replace old AC units. its get over 80 degrees in the summer inside for most residents no matter how low AC temp is set. Also parking lots get full all the time and its free for all. they should offer one car tag for each unit then have extra space for visitors and people with many cars. Just use towing service and make more money since Hunter is mostly about making money not about residents
