Pet limit 2 allowed. Dogs, Cats, small caged animals OK. Pets are limited by breed. There is a limit of 2 pets per apartment. In general, only common, domestic, non-aggressive animals will be accepted.   No exotic pets (such as reptiles, ferrets, pot belly pigs) are permitted.  Birds, if permitted, must be caged at all times.  Fish tanks, if permitted, may not exceed 40 gallons and must be properly supported.  Dogs, if permitted:  at a minimum, residents will not be allowed to have a dog that is a Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Doberman, German Shepherd, Malamute, Bull Terrier, wolf-dog hybrid, Chow-Chow and any dog that manager believes, in its sole discretion, is a cross  breed of or related to any of these breeds.  We may also restrict any breed that becomes known as aggressive, in our sole discretion.  Other animals may be excluded.  We may require the removal of any pet that shows aggressive behavior.  Pet rules apply to all pets at the Community, including those pets that are visiting or are temporary.

This company does not care about human beings. They have multiple lawsuits, have bullied and intimidated their residents, and do not comply for the laws on safe housing in Chicago. We were left without heat for 2 weeks because they ignored our maintenance requests, phone calls to their office, and phone calls to their emergency maintenance line. You can see evidence of others with similar experiences (including former employees) on reddit, better business bureau, and google reviews.

Since Cagen has bought Ivy Rental, things have only gotten worse. Maintenance requests take forever to be filled. Some have been canceled/marked as complete without anyone ever actually taking care of the situation. To note a couple of instances: 1. We had a leaking roof in January of 2024. It took nearly a month before anyone even came out to look at the damage. They painted a coat of primer on the ceiling marks and then never came back. 2. We have had a windowsill in out shower that has been rotting and moldy. The request for maintenance has been in since the end of January 2025. It is now almost May of 2025 and we have had someone come out and look at it once and then never complete the maintenance requires. Things have only gotten worse since Cagen took over. Subpar is an understatement.

I've had a wonderful experience residing in this unit, particularly appreciating the abundant sunshine streaming in from the south-facing sunroom. The maintenance team is responding provided that I upload a photo along with a detailed description of the unit's condition whenever issues arise. Moreover, I am immensely grateful to the property manager for their flexibility in finding ways to extend my lease period, adding greatly to my convenience.
