PROS: I have lived in Hyde Park since 1999, but I have been here since 2015. large units, real wood floors, vintage look, the kitchen isn't in the same area as the front room like many new apartments, indoor laundry in the building and a bike rack, some units have new appliances, a delivery package table, an old-fashioned toilet from the 20s, maintenance to see to the unit, good upkeep around the building, a ceiling fan, radiator heat (which is better to me than central air), large windows, 2 blocks to lake Michigan, minutes from downtown, a good location to stores & eateries, adjacent to 5 buses and 1 block from Metra, low noise, a workout gym 1 block away, close to museums & University of Chicago hospital, cool neighbors (Students & half the people in the building have been here over 25 years), and the best part is the staff does not micro-manage the building tenants. All in All, I give it an 8 out of 10 because CONS: My unit has an old kitchen with appliances in need of new ones; I'm still waiting. Had to repaint my unit myself; no elevator, no indoor fitness center.

I'm going on my third year living in this building. The location is great, and everything I need is within walking distance. I haven't had any noise complaints or bad neighbors. The amenities could be better as there is no central A/C, and they still use outdated coin laundry systems, but overall it's a good value.

I have lived here for almost a year now. The location is great! I love my space.

The location is great. Right next to lake shore drive which makes downtown only 10 minutes away. The place is big for a studio. Downside no central air and have to pay for landry.

I just moved here and it has already been so great. All of the staff is super nice and helpful!
