The noise from Metra/Metro nearby is quite a lot and the windows are not able to block the noise completely.

I've been reasonably happy living here. The building has effective sound dampening between my apartment and the neighbors. It's located very close to Metra, Blue Line, and CTA stops. There's sometimes street parking immediately in front of the building but almost always a parking spot before I have to circle the block. The unit itself is acceptable. The cabinetry and closets are in good condition, though the kitchen lacks a sufficient number of drawers. The vinyl flooring is showing it's age but none of the panels create a tripping hazard. The overall finish of the unit is somewhat lacking - electrical outlets in the bedroom hum and some are missing mounting hardware. The external windows are made of very thin glass that frost over in the winter. The master bathroom shower is not properly sloped and has a perpetual wet spot that does not drain. But the hot water is hot, runs hot immediately in the kitchen and master bath sinks, and lasts through a dishwasher, laundry cycle and simultaneous long shower. I would definitely recommend this apartment for a first time renter, or someone looking for a short term lease. I would not necessarily be happy with the apartment finishing for a permanent residence.
