Love this neighborhood

Having our home located in ukrainian village/humboldt park just walking distance from a number of the city’s best restaurants and music venues, as well as beautiful humboldt park itself is a dream come true. Having central air, a dishwasher and in-unit laundry is also a wonderful step up in our personal living situation, so that’s been great. My only real gripe woth our building is that the side gate on Iowa st doesnt have a working lock, nor does the door to the building on that side. I asked our maintenance technician about this when we first moved in, but it doesnt seem to be a priority for him. That is disappointing. The neighborhood however is quiet, full of families, and feels safe, so up until now i have let that slide. I do wish repairs of that nature could be treated with more urgency though. I dont know how long ago they did it, but at some point a resident of the building scrawled the words “broke- they wont fix it” on the inside of the front door. I REALLY hope that this is a remnant from previous management, as the door currently works, but its notable that it hasnt been painted over. Our in-unit amenities have made for a cozy living space, and the neighborhood is all we could ask for. Our building neighbors are also very nice people to a person.

Great Area, Nice apt!

The apartment I'm in is semi remodeled on the inside and we have a great location. Street parking is hard for the street we have a permit on is always full. There are really no amenities besides a little yard in the back common area. the downstairs basement isnt used really.
