The apartments I live at aren’t great but they’re cheap. That was until a new company came in and effectively doubled the rent. This isn’t a slur this is the truth. This is the most inhuman I’ve ever been treated and I’m a tenant that cares about keeping the place nice and this is my reward. They say their matching the pricing around well these apartments are the worst around and should have cheaper rent. Changing the counters or putting new paint in shouldn’t raise someone’s rent by over 700 dollars a month. The reason these apartments aren’t good are because of flaw in how they were built. Things you can’t fix. Don’t get me wrong I’ve lived here for over seven years and it’s livable but if I’m paying rent that can rent a house?! I’m going to go find a house to rent and not be afraid to walk around without interrupting my downstairs neighbors.

These are sub-par apartments at best. A covered parking space is not included with your rent, they cost an additional 25 a month on top of the ludicrous $1375 per month rent. You are also required under the lease to maintain liability insurance or they increase your rent by $29. The new owners came in and promised all of us original residents that rent would not increase unless we requested renovations then turned around a couple months later and increased our rent from $800 to $1375 with only a 30 day's notice. We're lucky this isn't making us homeless. No amount of renovations will make these apartments worth more than a mortgage on a home, don't give these people the satisfaction of gouging hard working folks for a place to live.
