The Matadora

Matadora is a beautiful building hosted by a conscientious and attentive staff. Residents have access to a gym that’s a step above those found in most apartment buildings, a rooftop lounge that offers a nice sunset view of some of Savannah’s historic churches, and several great spots for dining within a stone’s throw.

The Matadora is a great place to live. The building is clean, well-maintained and has great character with the tasteful furnishings and decor, something you don't see so much in new-build apartment blocks. The building management are friendly and extremely responsive, all inquiries and maintenance requests are dealt with immediately and follow-up to make sure the residents are satisfied. Small touches like having dog treats for the residents dogs are well-appreciated. The location and the area around are great to walk around and enjoy the local restaurants, cafes in the up and coming Starland District, Forsyth Park is right around the corner while the more busy downtown Savannah is still walkable or you can catch the free DOT line buses. Highly recommended.

Apart from the great location, elegant decor and comfortable apartments, the property management team are the most proactive and supportive that I've seen. Residents who respect their neighbors and the rules of their lease are treated very well, but there's no tolerance for those that don't, as it should be.

The location is great and the kitchen and bathroom are modern and sleek.

I have had a generally good experience living on this property. The apartment itself is fantastic, I love all of the new appliances and I've had zero issue with pests unlike in my previous apartment. The staff has been incredibly helpful and quick to resolve any minor issues that I've had. After living here for half a year the only problem I've had has been with parking, however that isn't something that the management here would be able to resolve in a timely manner. If I were to change anything I would like more parking options, or some form of communication with the community about the lack of parking available for residence. I have had notes left on my car from the neighborhood across the street about parking on their street. It'd be helpful for the other neighborhoods to be aware of the limited parking spaces in front of the matadora and the cost of a reserved parking spot being out of some residences' budget. Other than that, the community within the building has been very friendly and respectful.
