Price gouging on rent

My daughter rented her studio apartment for a year. She needed to stay past her 12 month lease by about 2 months. Once her 12 month lease was over - it was $1365/ month - MAA charged her $2546 per month. In the current environment of inflation, layoffs and recession, MAA needs to reevaluate how much they are price gouging families who are helping their kids through med school and nursing school. Our family suffered financially because of their greed.
