OVERWHELMED DISAPPOINTED TENANT

WHEN WE MOVED IN ON 01/27/2021 STAFF WAS HELPFUL AND WELCOMING IT FELT LIKE HOME. ON 02/06/2021 WE ENCOUNTERED A HUGE FLOOD IN OUR LIVING ROOM DESTROYING THE CARPET. WE WERE TOLD IT WAS NOT AN URGENT ISSUE. THE ISSUE THAT CAUSED THE FLOOD WAS FIXED. HOWEVER, THE CARPET WAS NOT. WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL FLOODS SINCE THEN. MAINTENANCE LOCATED THE PROBLEM COMING FROM TWO DIFFERENT APARTMENT UNITS TOWNHOUSE NEXT TO US AND FROM UPSTAIRS. FLOODING FROM THE UPSTAIRS UNIT CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE CARPET IN BD ROOM AND HALLWAY. IT ALSO CAUSED WATER DAMAGE TO THE AC ROOM WHICH NOW REEKS OF A MOLDY SMELL. WE SIGNED A LEASE TO RENT A 3/2 BUT WE FEEL LIKE WE LIVE IN A 2/1. WE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO USE THE JOINT BATHROOM SINCE WE MOVED IN. THE SINK HAS SEVERAL CRACKS AND THE BATHTUB OVERFLOWS WITH FECES. WHEN THIS HAPPENS IT FLOWS INTO THE BD ROOM. THE MAIN BATHROOM HAS THE SAME ISSUE. THIS CAUSES THE TUB AND SINK TO BACK UP AND WE CAN'T USE THEM FOR DAYS. WE HAVE MOLD UNDER OUR KITCHEN SINK FROM A LEAK UPSTAIRS. ALL OF THESE ISSUES HAVE BEEN REPORTED MORE THAN SEVERAL TIMES. WE HAVE A RECORD OF EVERY WORK ORDER WE SUBMITTED. THE ISSUES HAVE BECOME A SAFETY AND HEALTH HAZARD. TO WATCH THE PARKING LOT BEING RESURFACED WHILE MANY RESIDENTS LIVE WITH THESE CONDITIONS IS DISAPPOINTING. THE ISSUES IN THESE APARTMENTS ARE CONCERNING THAT THE LOCAL NEWS PICKED UP THE STORY. THE POOLS HAVE BEEN CLOSED SINCE JULY 2021 DUE TO MAINTENANCE ISSUES. RENT KEEPS RISING BUT THE CONDITIONS ARE RAPIDLY BECOMING WORSE. WE WERE PROMISED OUR CARPETS WOULD BE REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH NON-CARPET FLOORING. THIS WAS TO BE DONE TO HELP PREVENT MOLD SINCE THE FLOODING ISSUES ARE STILL NOT FIXED. THIS STILL HAS NOT HAPPENED. WE PAY OUR RENT ON TIME EVERY MONTH AND FOLLOW OUR LEASE. ON THE BRIGHT SIDE IF OUR MAINTENANCE ISSUES WERE NOT AN ISSUE WE WOULD BE ABLE TO FINALLY MAKE THIS OUR HOME. THE COMPLEX IS QUIET THE APARTMENTS ARE NICE IN SIZE AND USUALLY THE GROUNDS ARE KEPT CLEAN.

Move in Date

I am very disappointed with upper management. I was promise and looked at one apartment and was given another one that was not upgraded. I had to run behind the manger for my lease and I lost work running back and forth to the apartment complex on what would have been my move in date. I was given an unit that has bathroom, refrigerator needs to be replace, hold in the bathroom door and behind the door, and AC issues. I have sent in 2 work orders and still nothing. And lets not talk about the snakes I have seen on the property, the trash sitting outside the buildings and pile up on the outside of the dumpster.

Beware.

No one is quick about fixing anything around here, no emergency maintenance so if something goes out after hours forget about it. Front offices never sand when I say never NEVER answers calls.
